Canadian Meat Council Welcome New Chairman

The Canadian Meat Council (CMC) is proud to announce the appointment of David Colwell as Chairman of their Board of Directors for the next two years

The election took place last week, during CMC’s Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting in Montreal, Quebec.

“I am looking forward to working with the Board and CMC as we move forward and look for ways and opportunities to partner and work more collaboratively with other trade associations dealing with the same issues” said Mr. Colwell.

Mr. Colwell is currently the President of JBS Canada. For more than 60 years, JBS has provided customers around the world with a wide variety of top-quality fresh, further processed and value-added products. JBS Canada is a well-respected and trusted food company in Canada providing their customers with unmatched quality and service by consistently investing in resources and challenging themselves to be relentless in their pursuit of excellence.

CMC provides evidence-based advocacy on behalf of its members and works to secure and improve Canada’s global meat competitiveness and, promote a balanced diet, which includes high-quality and nutritious Canadian meat.
